Jodie is a registered veterinary nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science and Conservation & Wildlife Biology, and a love for all things animal behaviour. She's currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and is about to start a Certificate IV in Animal Behaviour and Training.
Jodie has completed short courses through IMDT and Sirius Dog Trainer Academy, along with practical experience in wound care, surgery, and behaviour management. She blends her vet nursing expertise with a scientific, positive reinforcement approach to training, helping dog owners form strong, lasting bonds with their pets.
When she's not working, Jodie loves spending time outdoors with her two young boys (who she jokes are just as trainable as the dogs!).
Meet Ripley, Jodie’s English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, named after the iconic Ellen Ripley from Alien. Ripley is the heart and soul behind the business—her playful spirit and loyalty are what inspired Jodie to pursue dog training and care professionally.
Known as the official Chief Snack Tester, Ripley takes her role very seriously, ensuring every treat meets her high standards before it reaches her fellow furry friends. Whether she's lounging in the sun or testing out the latest dog-friendly snacks, Ripley is always by Jodie’s side, offering love, support, and an occasional slobbery kiss.
Ripley is not only an integral part of the family, but she's also the reason Jodie is so passionate about helping other dogs and their owners. She’s the true boss of the household, and her tail wags are the seal of approval for everything Jodie does.
